Yes! We offer free deliveries on rentals of 2 or more days.

What if my e-bike runs out of battery?

Our e-bikes are rated to go 25-45 miles on a full charge. However, riders need to remember that these are bicycles, and some level of effort will be required in order to preserve your battery. Otherwise, we recommend mainly using the pedal assist and gear shifter to optimize the balance between your effort and battery life.

If you encounter problems with your e-bike and suspect a battery defect, contact us at the phone number in your confirmation email. If we have other e-bikes available, we may have you switch for another.

What if I damage the bike?

As part of our waiver, renters agree to pay for all damages incurred during their rental above normal wear and tear.

Do you have trail maps available?

Yes we do! We also have the digital version here in the Where To Ride section.

What if I get a flat tire?

If you happen to get a flat tire during your rental, call us at the phone number in your confirmation email and we’ll take care of it!

Is a helmet included with each rental?

Each bike comes with a universal helmet that can be adjusted to fit a variety of heads. This is available to you at no extra charge, though we do charge a $40 replacement fee if a helmet is not returned or is severely damaged.

Can I rent online or do I have to call?

We recommend online bookings because our bikes rent out quickly, however you can call or come into the office at anytime as well.

Can we ride on the beach?

No; unfortunately saltwater and sand are a bike’s worst enemies!

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that all cancellations be given 48 hours in advance. Any cancellation 24 hours or less will not be refunded unless due to bad weather.

Is there any penalty for returning the bikes in late and past our timeframe?

If you keep it past the scheduled return time, you will have to pay for the additional time.

What happens if there is bad weather?

We will offer to reschedule your tour at a later date or time. If that is not an option, then we will provide you with a 100% refund.

Are there any restrictions for riders?

Before riding, you must listen to the safety and riding instructions. You also must sign the waiver. For e-bikes, there is minimum of 16 years of age to ride with a parent’s consent. There is also a 300 pound weight limit for all e-bikes. If parking the e-bike, you must lock it up with provided lock set.

Where can I park my car while I ride?

Parking is free at the Chincoteague Bike Shop!

Do you sell bikes?

Selling bikes isn’t our main thing, but if you want to buy a bike, just ask!
